Letters to the Editor
Sir, This has reference to ``The song of discord'' by Edwin Naidu (Magazine, June 23). I would like to inform you that the South African Broadcasting Complaints Commission has banned Mbogeni Ngema's controversial song ``Ama Ndiya'' as the song constituted a racial hate speech with incitement to harm. Prominent South African Indian and African business and community leaders are setting up a summit to be held in July aimed at restoring the good relations both communities had before the controversial song by Mr. Ngema. According to the South African Sunday Times of June 22, the summit is being supported by all South African political parties.
