Achieving targets

Sir, — With reference to your editorial `Trade and investment ` (June 24), wasting time on the reasonableness of targets is unwarranted. Geographical and sectorial break-ups of exports have to be analysed threadbare. Quality requirements vary across the globe and also from sector to sector. Having fixed the target, we should concentrate on nearing the target.
