Ambani hospitalised

MUMBAI June 25. Dhirubhai Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Group of Industries, was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital here late on Sunday night after suffering a stroke.

Anil Ambani, Managing Director, RIL and Dhirubhai's son, told the media that he is in the ICU.

``He is making progress and the situation has to be monitored under the expert advice of doctors.''

Hospital sources said that Mr. Ambani's condition was serious and that he was on life-support systems. ``The next 48 hours are critical,'' said Vijay Krishna, CEO, Breach Candy Hospital, in the evening.
