Kalam, Sahgal in fray

NEW DELHI JUNE 26. It would be a straight fight between the NDA candidate, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and the Left parties' nominee, Lakshmi Sahgal, in the July 15 Presidential elections as only the two of them remained in the fray after scrutiny of 54 nomination papers here today.

Only four nominations, two each of Dr. Kalam and Dr. Sahgal, were found to be valid, the Returning Officer, R.C. Tripathy, said here today.
