Dukhtaran banned under POTA

NEW DELHI JUNE 27. The Centre has declared Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), a women's terrorist organisation in Kashmir, as an unlawful organisation under the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2002.

The Home Ministry, in a gazette notification today, said the organisation was involved in terrorist activities and was being banned under POTA with immediate effect. With this as many as 29 organisations have so far been declared unlawful under the act.
