Kahn voted best goalkeeper
YOKOHAMA
JUNE 30.
Germany's Oliver Kahn will receive the 2002 Yashin Award for the best goalkeeper of the World Cup, FIFA announced on Sunday.
Before the final, the 33-year-old goalie conceded only one goal in six matches when Ireland's Robbie Keane beat him in stoppage time of the first-round match against Ireland.
In 1998, the trophy went to French goalkeeper Fabien Barthez.
The award is named in honour of the late Soviet goalkeeper Lev Yashin, who starred in the 1958-1966 World Cups.
