Abdul, a Pakistani national, had confessed to the police about his involvement in several killngs and blasts, including the recent Kaluchak massacre, near Jammu, and Doraha train blast in Ludhiana district in March this year that killed three persons, police said. The warrant was issued for a day by the judge after the Batala police DSP, Balbir Singh, made a request in this regard. The militant was active in Batala and other areas. Police believe he might have hidden arms and explosives in his hideouts there, police said. Abdul was arrested by the Ludhiana police on June 19, and was brought here for interrogation in the Doraha train bomb blast case. Earlier, he was produced in the court of Munish Arora on June 2 and was remanded to police custody till today. He was taken to Pathankot bordering Jammu and Kashmir, for possible recovery of arms and ammunition, and also to raid hideouts of three of his associates who are still evading arrest. PTI
