MRF Pace Foundation camp gets underway

CHENNAI JULY 2 . The MRF Pace Foundation's annual July camp got underway, here, on Tuesday, under the guidance of fast bowling legend Dennis Lillee.

The Aussie, who said it was nice to be back, added there had been a noticeable improvement in the trainees during his absence - ``This means the message is getting through right down the line.'' The clinic concludes on July 12.

Apart from the Pace Foundation wards, the camp will have aspirants from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Dhammika Perera and Tyronne Gamage are here from Lanka, and Ziaur Rehman, Golan Rabbani, and Shafak Al Zabir, from Bangladesh. The Zonal centres of the National Cricket Academy have sent a few pacemen as well, including Mumbai and West Zone bowler Avishkar Salvi. Former India all-rounder Laxmi Ratan Shukla leads the batch from Bengal.
