Letters to the Editor
Sir, Apropos your Editorial `The Sukh Ram case' (July 8): The outcome is gratifying not only to the CBI but to all those who believe in the dictum, ``Be you ever so high, Law is above you''. The judgment in the case clearly demonstrates the evil consequences of the corrupt politician-bureaucracy nexus which is damaging the country's economy. The credit goes to the Special Judge, V.K. Jain, and the CBI for the expeditious completion of the trial. Such speed is needed in all the cases in which high-ranking politicians and bureaucrats are involved. We need many more such special courts so that the people's faith in the country's premier investigating agency and the judiciary remains intact.
S.A. Ahmed,
