West Bengal
It was a ``token affair'' apparently in view of the assurance by the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, that a decision on the issue would be taken by tomorrow. The Trinamool leader, Mamata Banerjee, has adopted a ``wait and watch'' policy and deferred agitation. She was to announce her next course of action yesterday. The blockades at Howrah, Sealdah and Asansol divisions of the Eastern and South Eastern Railways from 10 a.m. led to a number of trains, including the 2303 up Poorva Express, 2024 dn. Patna-Howrah Satabdi Express and 2322 dn. Mumbai Mail, being detained on an average of 20 minutes at the Durgapur station. PTI
