Court rejects Hindujas' plea

New Delhi July17. A Delhi court today rejected a plea by the Hinduja brothers seeking copies of certain official documents pertaining to the purchase of Bofors guns as the Defence Ministry said that making public these documents would affect the national interest.

``In the present case, the documents seemingly relate to the question of national security. It is stated in the affidavits of the Secretary, the Ministry of Defence, that annexures... contain classified information relating to the specifications of weapons system and ammunition etc,'' Special Judge, Prem Kumar, said. — PTI
