Hindujas' plea

New Delhi July 19 . Citing an inordinate delay in the probe and initiation of the trial proceedings in the Bofors payoff case, the Hinduja brothers today sought the quashing of the CBI chargesheet against them just before the Special Judge was to hear arguments on the charge against them.

The application was moved before the Designated Judge, Prem Kumar, by the Hindujas' counsel, Ram Jethmalani.

The Court directed the CBI to file a reply by July 24.
