Inflation dips

NEW DELHI JULY 21. Weathering the truant monsoon, prices of fruits and vegetables declined sharply leading to a miniscule 0.12 per cent drop in the inflation rate to rest at 1.99 per cent during the week ended July 7. It was pegged at 2.11 per cent the previous week after a brief two-week rising spell while it had been quite above the five-per cent-mark at 5.43 during the corresponding week last year.
