Letters to the Editor
Sir, The demand by the Pattali Makkal Katchi to bifurcate Tamil Nadu is unwarranted and involves selfish and sinister designs. The PMK should have requested a change of the State headquarters to Tiruchi or Madurai for overall development of the State and easy access for all the people. Since the State Government is thinking of moving the headquarters to a place near Mahabalipuram, the planners should also think of moving it to a place that could be easily accessed from different parts of the State. This will shut the secessionist voices from selfish politicians. Subramanian Seshadri, Los Angeles, U.S.
