Double for Sania

HYDERABAD JULY 27. India's Sania Mirza bagged a fine double in the University of Pretoria junior international tennis tournament Grade II in South Africa on Saturday, according to information received here.

In the singles final, Sania — who is a student of Nasr School in Hyderabad and is sponsored by GVK Industries — beat compatriot Isha Lakhani 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. After losing the first set, Sania played some superb groundstrokes and served excellently to take the second and third sets. This was Sania's first Grade II singles title of her career.

In the doubles final, Sania and Isha beat South African pair of Tarryn Blanche and Tammy Day 6-3, 6-1.
