In his condolence message to the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Gen. Musharraf said, "I fondly remember meeting Mr. Kant during my visit to New Delhi last year. I had found him to be a man of great learning and goodwill. We share the sorrow of the Government and people of India on Mr. Kant's demise.
