Sensex dips

MUMBAI JULY. 30. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 30-Share Sensitive Index (Sensex) for the first time in nine months, slipped below the 3000 mark and settled at 2990.91 today. It lost 39.15 points from its previous close of 3030.06.

The sentiments on the stock markets were subdued due to continuing drought situation.
