Tragedy averted

Jammu Aug. 4. A major tragedy was averted today in Udhampur district as the security forces detected and defused an IED in Samroli area on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Once the explosive was defused the Amarnath yatra, which had been disrupted for a few hours, started again, police said.

Meanwhile, the State Government has announced that fresh registrations will soon be started.
