The offers will be available to all Spice subscribers on post-paid and pre-payment mode on the Hot 30 Tariff plan beginning Monday. The fee for "free incoming call" offer will be Rs. 374 in addition to the monthly rental of Rs. 625 for the Hot 30 Tariff plan subscribers. Outgoing airtime rates for this offer will be Rs. 1.25 per 30 seconds (6 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and 38 paise per 30 seconds (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) Spice has also offered an All Incoming and Outgoing Calls Free Offer. This offer entitles subscribers to free airtime on outgoing and incoming calls throughout the day and night at a monthly rental of Rs. 2,025 a month. Announcing the new offers, Karnataka Circle Managing Director of Spice, Sean Dexter, said: "These offers will be advantageous to the high-end cellular phone users across Karnataka. Our customers on the Hot-30 tariff plan need not wait for the next bill cycle to avail of these competitive offers." During the first phase of the activation process, subscribers can send in their requests by fax to 080- 2098280/281 and they would be activated on the offer. Spice Telecom would confirm the activation status through SMS to customers. The second phase will allow subscribers to activate offers through Spice Telecom's IVR. Other offers
Airtel and Hutchison had come out with offers of free outgoing and incoming calls at a rental of Rs. 2,000 a month. Under Talk Max, Hutch subscribers will have to pay only Rs. 1,995 while Airtel customers would have to pay Rs. 1,999. The schemes are expected to alter the business dynamics of the cellular market in the State.
