Sterlite Optical revokes dividend decision

MUMBAI AUG. 5. Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd. (SOTL) has revoked its earlier decision to recommend 80 per cent dividend per share for the financial year March 31, 2002 to conserve resources following adverse factors. The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange here today that the situation for optical fibre and optical cables sector continues to be severely depressed in the international and domestic markets. — PTI
