Wrong landing averted

By Our Staff Reporter

PIDUGURALA(Guntur dist.) Aug. 6. A helicopter carrying the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, gave officials the jitters when it almost landed at a wrong place here on Tuesday. A temporary helipad was prepared at the Bishop Bali school on the outskirts of the village. When the helicopter was sighted in the horizon a flare was fired into the sky to guide it. The pilot missed the signal and descended to land in the ground of another school in which Mr. Naidu was scheduled to address a public meeting. The Superintendent of Police, P. S.R. Anjeneyulu, and others rushed to the other school. Meanwhile, the helicopter lifted and came to the helipad.
