Irina leads by four strokes

NEW DELHI AUG. 8. Top-ranked Irina Brar, despite struggling to break par, led by four strokes at the midway stage of the National team selection trials for the Women's World amateur golf championship to be held in Malaysia later this year.

Irina had scores of 75 and 76 in the first two rounds played at the Japyee Greens. On Thursday, at the Classic Golf Resort, Irina opened with yet another three-over 75, for a three-round aggregate of 10-over 226.

The scores (after 54 holes):

Irina Brar (75, 76, 75) 226; Mayali Talwar (76, 78, 76) and Vandana Agarwal (79, 77, 74) 230; Parnita Grewal (79, 80, 72) 231; Anjali Chopra (81, 78, 73) 232.
