While sources said that Mr. Laik Ram had been appointed DIG (Prisons) after Sharma failed to rejoin duty on expiry of his 10 days leave, Mr. Chautala described the appointment as a ``routine administrative matter''. Interestingly, Mr. Chautala disclosed that at least two senior officers, one IPS and one IAS, were ``missing'' for quite some time. One of them was regularly sending medical certificates, he added.
