Sidhu quits

CHANDIGARH AUG.14 . The suspended Chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission, Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu, who was allegedly involved in the ``cash-for-job'' scam has resigned from the post stating that he wanted ``to maintain the dignity of the high office''.

Sources told PTI here today that Mr. Sidhu has sent his resignation letter through the Supreme Court. The resignation letter is being forwarded to the State Government for further action.
