Tight security for I-Day

New Delhi Aug. 14. With terrorist threats looming large, an intense security blanket has been thrown across the country for tomorrow's Independence Day celebrations, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi, where Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, will address the nation from the historic Red Fort after unfurling the national tricolour.

Unprecedented security has been put in place in Jammu and Kashmir following intelligence reports that at least 40 foreign mercenaries had sneaked into the Valley.
