Self-immolation bid inside HC

PATNA AUG. 15. A Bihar Agriculture Department employee, Chandan Bhattacharya, today made a bid to immolate himself inside the Patna High Court premises for alleged non-payment of salaries. He suffered burns and is in hospital in a critical condition. Security near the residence of the Chief Minister, Rabri Devi, was tightened as another Government employee, Ravikant Choudhury of the State Road Transport Corporation, also threatened self-immolation in front of the CM's residence. — PTI
