31 killed in bus accident

JAMMU AUG. 16. Thirtyone persons were killed and 28 injured when a bus skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in Poonch district of Jammu division. Police told The Hindu the bus, carrying 56 persons, was going to Poonch from Bandi Cherchina village. The victims included 13 women and three children. In another bus accident in Rajouri district, one person was killed and 18 others were injured when a bus fell into a gorge in Kali Char forest ranges today.
