The boys team defeated Russia 2-1, with Jeevan Nedunchezian winning the singles leaving Sumit Prakash Gupta and Rupesh Roy to ensure triumph with a win in the doubles. The girls team beat Argentina 2-0, with Sanaa Bhambri capping a fine performance with a 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6) victory over Betina Jozami in the second singles, after Tara Iyer had given a good start with a straight-set victory over Florencia Molinero. In the boys final, U.S. beat Spain 2-1. In the girls final, the Netherlands defeated Poland 3-0. The final placings: Boys: 1. U.S., 2. Spain, 3. Argentina, 4. Canada, 5. France, 6. Morocco, 7.
