The players have told the BCCI that since they would be busy preparing for the third Test, starting at Leeds from Thursday, they will be represented by Shastri. The BCCI President Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya in turn has asked the players whether they would sign the players terms for the Champions Trophy, Champions Trophy and the World Cup, or they would not sign at all. According to sources, Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya spoke to the players quite a few times on Sunday before being told that Shastri would represent them in the future. Mr. Dalmiya was expecting positive signals from the senior players so that he could initiate talks with the ICC Chief Executive, Mr. Malcolm Speed about ICC's anti-ambush marketing regulations. Mr. Speed is to visit to India next week.
