8 killed in Kashmir

SRINAGAR AUG. 19. A Lieutenant-Colonel and two militants were among the eight persons killed in the shooting incidents in Jammu and Kashmir since last night, an official spokesman said today.

Lt. Col. K.J. Singh was killed when militants ambushed an army patrol party. — PTI
