Snag delays IA flight

JAMMU AUG. 20. A minor snag in an Indian Airlines plane today led the pilot to apply the emergency brakes while taking off, causing sprain to the front row passengers and an airhostess, an airlines spokesman said here.

Denying a report that the Jammu-Srinagar flight crash-landed, he said the brakes did not function while the plane was about to take off at 12.10 p.m. from the Jammu airport. The plane later returned and engineers rectified the snag. — PTI
