Photo studio owner hacked to death

CHENNAI Aug. 20. A photo studio owner was hacked to death by a three-member motorcycle- borne gang at Chromepet on Monday night.

Police identified the victim as Shivdas (38) of Chromepet RB Colony.

According to police, Shivdas, running the studio on the GST Road, was returning home along with his wife, Mythili, on a motorcycle. The assailants intercepted the vehicle and attacked him with knives. Mythili also suffered cut injuries.

Investigation revealed that Shivdas had been the manager of the photo studio earlier. The studio owner gave the responsibility of running the colour lab to Shivdas after a rival group attempted to murder him over a business motive.

The Chromepet police are investigating.
