Its platform would be Hindutva and abolition of Article 370 of the Constitution "with immediate effect'' as well as rejection of any move for partition of the State. The party's aim, it said, was to "ensure that the J&K Government, with the help of the Centre, takes meaningful steps to end the cross-border terrorism.'' Lt. Gen. P.N. Hoon (Retd.) has been asked by the party chief, Bal Thackeray, and Kalki Maharaj to coordinate poll strategies but no mention was made about any alliance between the Sena and the BJP.
