According to information available here, Prasad scored 5.5 points from nine rounds and was part of the bunch, which tied for ninth to 13th places. Prasad won three matches, drew five and lost one. Bakre aggregated five points and tied for the 14th spot before being pushed two places due to inferior progressive score. He won four rounds, drew two and lost three. The title went to top-seeded Russian Mikhail Ulibin. After scoring 6.5 points from nine rounds, he was involved in a three-way tie with second-seeded compatriot Evgeny Gleizerov and fifth-seeded Uzbek GM Shukhrat Safin. But Ulibin's progressive score of 34.5 proved decisive. Gleizerov (32) and Safin (31.5) finished second and third, respectively. Our Special Correspondent.
