Similarly, it would like its MP from Buldhana, Anandrao Adsul, to fill the slot left by Mr. Geete's elevation. The Sena's presumption is that in a coalition, the portfolio of an outgoing Minister should automatically be filled by its nominee. The Shiv Sena mouthpiece, Saamna, broke its silence over the story of Mr. Prabhu being asked to resign and indicated that Mr. Geete would be its nominee for the Power Ministry and he, in turn, would be succeeded by Mr. Adsul. While Mr. Thackaray has chosen to keep a studied silence on what led to Mr. Prabhu's fall from grace, the Saamna indicated, without going into details, that he would now dedicate himself to party work.
