One killed in BSF firing

Barasat Aug. 22. One Bangladeshi was killed in BSF firing near the India-Bangladesh border at Swarupnagar area in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district today, police said. BSF opened fire after four Bangladeshis, challenged near the border, hurled bombs at them, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer said here. While one of them died on the spot, the others fled back, he said. — PTI
