18 killed in plane crash

Kathmandu Aug. 22. Eighteen persons aboard a twin Otter plane that crashed this morning in Pokhara have died. ``There were 15 passengers — 13 Germans, one American and one Briton in the plane and all were killed,'' an official from the Department of Civil Aviation said here.

The three crew members — pilot, co-pilot and an air hostess — were Nepalis. The plane, which took off from Jomsom airport in Mustang, lost contact with the Pokhara airport at 10 a.m. — UNI
