Anil Kumar betters National record

NEW DELHI AUG. 22. Anil Kumar has bettered the National record in discus throw at an international invitation meet in Szaombathely, Hungary.

In the meet held on Wednesday, Anil won with a distance of 62.12 metres, according to information received here on Thursday. The existing record is held by Shakti Singh at 61.72m, since 1994.

The AAFI will seek technical information from the organisers before taking up the ratification of Anil's mark.
