The Ernakulam First Class Judicial Magistrate Court had remanded six accused in the case for 15 days. The Magistrate today went to the sub-jail and the identification was held in his presence, according to S. D. Gopalakrishnan, Aluva special branch Dy.SP who is heading the investigation. The identification was held along with the other remand prisoners in the sub-jail and it is learnt that the victim had identified five of the accused. Those who participated in the identification parade included the six accused -- Shibili, Nasser, Unnikrishnan, Zaheer, Satheesh Kumar and Santosh -- and the investigation team is optimistic that the case could be solved soon. An official said that there had not been any political interference and the police was hopeful that all the prime accused could be brought to book.
