England signs agreement

Leeds Aug. 24. The England &Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced it has signed the Participating Nations Agreement (PNA) for the ICC Champions Trophy, 2002.

The ECB said that following discussions with player representatives the basis for an agreement on `Player rights' for the tournament had been reached.

The agreement with the players is subject to the ICC formally agreeing to consult with players before concluding commercial arrangements for ICC events other than those that have already been sold. — Our Special Correspondent
