Leh parties disband, form common front

JAMMU AUG. 26. With the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir round the corner, political parties in Leh have unanimously decided to dissolve their units and launch a common front to fight for Union Territory status to their region.

The decision was taken at the initiative of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) after a meeting of the local units of the parties today.
