New adviser to Finance Minister

NEW DELHI AUG. 26. India's former Executive Director on the board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Vijay Kelkar, today took over as adviser to the Union Finance Minister, Jaswant Singh, with the rank of Minister of State, according to an official announcement.

Dr. Kelkar's three-year assignment with the IMF ended on July 31 this year.
