Sir, Having dissolved the Assembly by throwing all democratic and moral principles to the wind, the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, is now demanding of the Election Commission that "five crore people of Gujarat should be given an opportunity to elect a popular government as early as possible". Is it not similar to the classic case of a criminal who murdered his parents pleading for mercy on the ground that he is an orphan?
