Sinha for Earth Summit

New Delhi Aug. 27. The External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha, will be the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee's special representative at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg from September 1 to 4 during which India is expected to focus on the need for concerted global action on poverty alleviation, soil degradation and environmental concerns.

The Environment and Forests Minister, T. R. Baalu, is already in Johannesburg for the Ministerial meetings.
