Letters to the Editor
Sir, Gujarat has been facing severe financial crisis because of the earthquake, the communal riots and the drought for the third consecutive year. Because of the failure of the monsoon this year hundreds of animals mostly cows and bullocks are dying of hunger and thirst. In such a situation to spend a huge amount of money on ``gaurav yatra'', welcoming Narmada water, etc. is ridiculous. Let the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, know that the people of the State do not approve of such waste of money on programmes that are meant only to serve his political ambition. W. Macwan Rishta, Ahmedabad
