Agree to ICC terms, Dalmiya tells players

Kolkata Sept. 1. The Cricket Board president, Jagmohan Dalmiya, today `advised' the Indian players in England to abide by the ICC's commercial terms and conditions for the period covering the Champions Trophy and 30 days thereafter.

``You have already agreed in principle to abide by the commercial terms and conditions for the duration of the event (i.e., 18 days). You should agree to abide by the said terms for the period up to 30 days after the event,'' Mr. Dalmiya said in a letter to the Indian team through captain Sourav Ganguly.

``As the BCCI president, I have a word of advice. Since your viewpoints with regard to the sponsorship contracts have been well received by the ICC, it would be befitting to respond positively only for the Champions Trophy,'' the BCCI chief said in the letter on his return here after attending the executive board meeting of the world cricket's governing body. — PTI
