NCERT launches helpline service

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI SEPT. 7. To ensure that students and parents are kept abreast of its various activities, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has launched a 24-hour helpline which can be accessed on 9622 022 044.

Emphasising the role of the NCERT in the field of education at the launch of the service on September 5, the NCERT Director, J.S Rajput, said: "NCERT being the apex educational organisation of the country, it has an important role to play in the field of school education. It would be natural for students, parents and others to be curious about the various activities of NCERT like syllabus and availability of books and teacher-training programmes.''
