Terrorists behind Rajiv Nagar carnage arrested

By Our Staff Reporter

JAMMU SEPT. 7. With the arrest of seven terrorists, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have claimed to have completely solved the Rajiv Nagar carnage case in which 28 civilians were killed and 30 injured. Interrogation of the conspirators, most of them LeT personnel, also revealed their involvement in other subversive activities such as the killing of 20 security personnel and seven civilians besides a number of explosions.

Most of them belonged to Surankote part of Poonch district of Jammu region. The main plan was hatched by Master Kabir, seniormost LeT functionary in Jammu province. He was responsible for transporting two Pakistani terrorists who committed the carnage.

The two terrorists also had fake identity cards prepared by one Special Police Officer working at Surankote. In Jammu, they had received their weaponry and concealed them in the Raika forest belt on the outskirts of the city.
