'No', says Thackeray

Mumbai Sept. 7. The controversy over ``objectionable'' scenes in the film `Ek chhoti si love story' took a new turn with the Shiv Sena chief, Bal Thackeray, refusing to meet its producer-director, Shashilal Nair, who went to his residence tonight, even as actress Manisha Koirala moved the appropriate authorities for revoking the exhibition licence of the film.

Mr. Thackeray's secretary, however, accepted a letter from Mr. Nair and said the Sena chief would get back to him.

Ms. Manisha's lawyer yesterday sent letters to the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Sushma Swaraj, seeking revocation or suspension of the licence for the film.
