Letters to the Editor
Sir, It is not known on what basis selection of teachers for State awards is made. There are many Oriental schools in the State which should be considered, as their teachers are doing good work producing State ranks. The selection panel should have members proficient in Sanskrit and Arabic. No circulars have ever been sent by the Department to Oriental Schools in this regard, while representations for other categories of schools are given preference.
